With a worldwide emphasis on environmental concerns and innovative ideas
with proven products, Bio-Microbics manufactures wastewater and storm water treatment systems for decentralized homes, communities, and commercial properties
located around the globe. With tens of thousands of installations all
over the world, the FAST® technology is used successfully in municipal,
industrial, marine, commercial and residential type applications for over 35 years.
The BioBarrier Membrane BioReactor utilizes flat sheet membranes for a
versatile design and robust process in wastewater recycling. Engineered
in a small footprint and immersed directly in the aeration process, the
BioBarrier has a high surface area of membrane material in a double
plate configuration. Treated water moves through the pores to the space
between the films; a pump then extracts the clean water to discharge
into the environment. BioBarrier removes biological along with E. Coli
and fecal coliform without add on disinfection.
Kansas-based Bio-Microbics Inc., a manufacturer
of clean technologies, is the first company to earn NSF/ANSI 350
certification for their Bio-Barrier® membrane bioreactor (MBR). NSF
scientists conducted an evaluation spanning more than six months of
continuous operation of the Bio-Microbics Bio-Barrier® MBR treatment
system at one of NSF's approved wastewater testing facilities.
